Stress Reduction

With every client, I begin with a quick health and wellbeing consultation to determine their needs. Massage is proven to reduce stress and anxiety, lift the emotions, and raise self-awareness and self-esteem.

Sports Happy

Don’t expect a relaxing massage. Deep tissue treatment aims to get into the knots and tight muscles. I work with actively training athletes helping them to achieve the best performance, and also after training to reduce muscle fatigue and soreness.

Special needs

I regularly treat children with autism and cerebral palsy. In these cases, the benefits of massage often concentrate on reducing stress, increase trust and communication through the power of touch.

Hi everyone,

I’m Miranda Foot the founder of Positive Spirit Massage. I am qualified and insured and have been treating people for over 10 years. I also have a two-year foundation degree in sports therapy and rehabilitation, so I can help with different injuries. I am planning to return to study and complete my third year.

My Approach

I am a mobile therapist, but I do have a room at Thrive at Surrey quays shopping centre. It is easy to book an appointment through my website via email or telephone. I will complete a consultation with you discuss the reasons for treatment and any medical/Health conditions, you may have. I always implement a health interview before the first treatment, so I can adapt and accommodate the treatment to the client and if you continue having future sessions, your progress will be observed.

My Story

So, what’s my story and how did I become a massage therapist? Previously, I worked in the music industry as a rock and jazz drummer for around 25 years, but I had to stop due to repetitive strain injury (RSI). this problem is well known with musicians. I had been working long hours in studios and gigging most weekends, so I didn’t notice or ignored the gradual pain in my right ankle. One morning, after a gig the night before, I had to crawl to the bathroom as I couldn’t put my foot on the floor, it was so painful. I used crutches for 4-5 months, I thought this was the end of my drumming career. I pursued physiotherapy and chiropractor, but this took time, so I tried Sports Massage. Within a month the pain had nearly gone, and I have continued with a massage therapy with other injuries, with success. I recommend to all my clients, that if you feel pain even if it is a niggle check it out, don’t leave it as long as I did.
